Julian’s Fountain of Youth (JFOY) is culturally significant because it turns retail into a pathway for LGBTQ+ youth empowerment on Wilton Drive. As a local 501(c)(3), JFOY runs the Wilton Collective thrift/consignment space as a hands-on work program, pairing job training and experiential learning with a safe, affirming environment—so young people build skills, confidence, and community ties right where the city’s cultural life is most visible. Revenue from the store supports programming, while partnerships and a long-term presence on the Drive deepen its role as a hub for inclusion, economic opportunity, and creative expression. In short, JFOY strengthens Wilton Manors’ identity by investing directly in its next generation.
