Handy, Inc. is culturally significant for its role in breaking cycles of poverty and instability by empowering vulnerable youth and families in Wilton Manors and beyond. Serving children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or homelessness, Handy provides wraparound support that includes educational resources, life skills training, mental health services, and career development opportunities. By addressing both immediate needs and long-term economic empowerment, the organization helps young people build resilience, achieve self-sufficiency, and become active contributors to their communities. In doing so, Handy not only changes individual lives but also strengthens the social and economic fabric of Wilton Manors, ensuring that opportunity and equity remain core community values.
